Urda, Deni – MSW, LCSW

My practice is dedicated to supporting individuals impacted by eating disorders, chronic dieting, body image distress, and weight-based stigma/oppression, as well as challenges with self-worth, perfectionism, depression, and anxiety. I’ve been working as an eating disorder therapist since 2012, spending my early career in the hospital setting supporting adolescents and families across all levels of care (inpatient, residential, PHP/IOP). Having witnessed firsthand the impact of eating disorders on loved ones, I also have a special place in my heart for supporting parents and partners as they navigate the complexities of treatment and recovery.

It’s a messy, beautiful business being human. As one human to another, I invite you to bring your whole self—the contradictions, uncertainties, and strengths (yep, those are there too). I am committed to creating a safe, inclusive space where together we can explore your truth, rediscover your agency, and move toward a life that feels more meaningful and authentically you.

Whether we are working on immediate coping skills or tackling the deeper patterns shaping your life, my approach in session is always grounded in warmth, curiosity, and your specific goals and values. I offer virtual sessions across North Carolina. If you would like to explore how we might work together, please feel free to reach out for a free consultation.
