I use she/her pronouns, identify as Latina and was born in El Salvador. I’ve been a therapist now for about 10 years and I’ve become more and more passionate about supporting clients struggling with their relationship with food and their bodies. Our relationship to our body and food is a unique one, so this makes it complex when we are struggling with these relationships. I’ve worked in many settings such as community mental health, higher levels of care such as partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient and on a military base. As a therapist who’s worked in multiple settings, I’ve worked with many people who have either struggled with disordered eating behaviors and eating disorders. Eating Disorders/disordered eating can be isolating which can reinforce a lot of the beliefs or rules you have. I believe therapy can offer you a safe space to process these experiences, discover how to find recovery from disordered eating thoughts & behaviors, learn coping skills and dedicate time to your emotional wellbeing. It’s not easy to tell someone else about your experiences and emotions, it requires you to be vulnerable. I know what it can be like to step into the therapy world. It can be scary, but I am here to walk you through it. I offer therapy services virtually and I’m bilingual in Spanish.
